ENERGY CONSUMPTION, UTILIZATION & GENERATION

Standard Textile has a proven track record of responsibly consuming, utilizing, and generating energy in its manufacturing process. We adhere to the most stringent environmental regulations in place, and we do so around the world; Standard Textile's compliance with even the most rigorous regulations does not decrease from country to country. This global template ensures environmental stewardship.

Standard Textile's Augusta, Georgia manufacturing facility is a prime example of the company's environmental commitment. When Standard Textile acquired the plant in 2002, the company invested extensively in returning to its original self-generated hydroelectric power design.

Today the facility is powered by dual hydroelectric generators, which decrease pollutant emissions so drastically that it is equivalent to nearly one million gallons of gasoline. The facility produces so much "clean and green" power that Standard Textile actually sells electricity back to the local utility company!
