Standard Textile Supports Local Youth With Face Mask Donation

CINCINNATI, OH (May 19, 2020) – Standard Textile, a leading global innovator, manufacturer, and distributor of healthcare, hospitality, and consumer products headquartered in Cincinnati, has donated reusable face masks to Cincinnati United Soccer Club. The custom branded face masks were designed by Standard Textile Home, the company’s direct to consumer business, and produced at Standard Textile’s manufacturing facility in Brownsville, Texas.

“Our commitment to the health and wellness of our community’s children was the driver for this donation,” said Brad Fry, Standard Textile’s Chief Operating & Finance Officer. “We are committed to helping create a safe environment for children in Cincinnati to get back to the soccer fields when restrictions from COVID-19 are lifted.”

The Cincinnati United Soccer Club serves children and young adults in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren County, as well as neighboring communities throughout the Greater Cincinnati and South Dayton areas.

Dan Kunkemoeller, President of Cincinnati United Soccer Club said, “During these unusual times we have found ourselves in, we truly need partners with a common vision. The health and safety of our staff and players is #1. Thank you, Standard Textile, for stepping up and supporting all those in our club with PP Equipment to allow us to begin some level of participation with players and coaches.”

Since late February 2020, Standard Textile has been leading an urgent charge to increase production of PPE (personal protective equipment), including protective gowns, face masks and face shields, in order to provide hospitals and healthcare workers in the United States with additional protection against COVID-19.

Following a nearly 80-year history of innovation and service, the family-owned company converted its manufacturing operations and is prioritizing the production of medical garments at its manufacturing and distribution facilities in the United States. The company has responded to the COVID-19 crisis by leaning into its purpose of inspiring care, comfort, and change in our communities.
