CINCINNATI, OH (June 18, 2020) – Standard Textile, a global innovator in the healthcare, hospitality, and consumer markets, joins the Q-Kidz Dance Team in recognizing and celebrating the high school graduation of its senior class of dance team members.
The Q-Kidz Dance Team was founded 39 years ago to build healthy behaviors, confidence, and self-esteem among Cincinnati’s West End youth. While competitive on the dance floor, the goal of the nationally acclaimed Q-Kidz is to help young women discover they have the physical, mental and emotional stamina to make positive change in their own lives.
“Given the high graduation rate of the Q-Kidz Dance Team and the fact that those living in poverty are six times more likely to drop out of high school, speaks to the program’s success. We recognize the impact Q-Kidz is making in our local community, and we are very proud to support their mission,” said Gary Heiman, President & CEO of Standard Textile.
Founded by Marquicia Jones-Woods, Q-Kidz has served Cincinnati’s West End youth for decades by offering onsite activities and leveraging the discipline of competitive dance to instill the value of a good education, living drug-free, and stopping the violence in our communities. “I appreciate the support Standard Textile has provided our Dance Team,” said Jones-Woods. “As these young women graduate high school and begin the next chapter in their lives, it is important that they know they have others in the community supporting their journey.”
Standard Textile’s consumer business provided each graduate with bedding and towels and the company’s luxury linen brand, Mascioni Hotel Collection, provided robes and slippers to assist with college essentials.
