This week we are celebrating the National Sleep Foundation’s Sleep Awareness Week® by spotlighting some ways hotel and hospitality professionals can help their guests enjoy more restful sleep. And while there are many factors that can affect the quality of your guests’ sleep, one of the most common, yet preventable, is sleeping with allergies. According to Sleep Foundation, up to 40 percent of Americans suffer from allergies. What’s more, these individuals are twice as likely to have insomnia than those without allergies.
With so many potential customers who suffer when sleeping with allergies, you might be wondering what you and your staff can do to combat this. Of course, regular room cleaning and proper laundering of bedding can help. However, even with these safeguards in place it is still possible for dust mites, allergens, and even bed bugs to embed themselves into mattresses and pillows.
AllerEase® Professional technology features antimicrobial fabric that helps to reduce the occurrence of bacteria, mold, allergens, and mildew— protecting your investment in your guest rooms. Offering not only bacteria blocking capabilities, AllerEase’s antimicrobial barrier actually inhibits growth of microbes.
AllerEase® Professional products are third-party tested and specially designed for hotel use. They have 14 significant features, including the Duraflex Base™, the revolutionary four-sided interchangeable top for easy installation and laundering, soft and comfortable fabric, temperature balancing technology, and odor protection. All these features are in addition to complete protection benefits, including an allergen and bed bug barrier that blocks 99.9% of particles, waterproofness, antimicrobial fabric, and plush-top fabric for a cushioned, comfortable experience when sleeping with allergies. AllerEase® Professional products are allergist-recommended and backed by the Good Housekeeping Seal.
